Appearance
Syx is approximately 5 feet 5 inches, and weighs a flat 122 lbs. She has short silver hair and a white cloth covering her eyes. She's generally seen dressed in the Beacon Academy uniform, or a plain purple dress that is normally accompanied by a wooden staff when she's alone. It is said that before she lost her eyesight, her eyes had been a startlingly vibrant shade of sapphire or amethyst, but that the color had long since faded from them by the time she arrived at Beacon.
Personality
Among her peers Syx is rather unusually soft spoken. Years of living in an almost annoyingly spiritual community, most of which were spent as the village's messenger to their gods, has equipped her with the necessary speaking skills to divert most to all physical confrontations. She likes making friends, but tends to get a little frustrated because of her lack of sight.
Background
Born with no name to a small, secluded village in the Northern Mountains, Syx spent the first five years of her life just like everyone else she knew. She learned how to speak, walk, use the bathroom, and everything else on the fundamentals list.
However, on her sixth birthday all of that changed. The village elders had taken note of how she watched things, how she seemingly knew what a person was feeling just by their expression or how they stood. Three days after her sixth birthday, at an unprecedented age, her Semblance awoke.
In a bout of violet light, Aura erupted from her being. Weapons, armor, toys and anything else imaginable sprang from the very air to fall at her feet. Her eyes wet with tears as she suffered through the pain it caused.
The elders believed her to be a sion of their Gods. A gift to their people sent in the form of a young girl. So they locked her away. From the age of six on she began to be known only as "Oracle", and her birth name faded until it was forgotten entirely.
Life in her village's temple was structured and strict, but by the time she was ten Syx had already mastered the lifestyle. She had learned to be complacent, kind, and most of all forgiving. The village revered her, and she gladly did what she could.
The village elders believed that the effect of her initial Awakening could be replicated, and so they silently set out a plot to do such a thing. Stress and lack of sleep gave way to another such incident, this one less profound, but still the same nonetheless. The village elders referred to it as "Al'ari shakal". "Gift of God" in their native tongue. Syx merely thought of it as an Aura Vent, a method through which her body exposed of that which it did not need through the quickest method available.
For years this continued, the elders allowing Syx to meditate only in the days between festival preparations. The gifts she created lasted only a short while, but they made the village people happy nonetheless.
However, that happiness was shattered on a single fateful festival evening. It was her 13th year, and Syx had run herself ragged trying to get ready for her final Ceremony of the season. But the elders quickly realized that the powers they dabbled in were dangerous beyond comprehension, as instead of a mere Vent, Syx practically exploded. Aura flared out like a ripple in a lake, the force so destructive that it cut the roofs clear off of a few houses in the village. The pain from the explosion knocked the poor girl unconscious immediately, and when she finally awoke three days later it was to a dark world.
The force from the explosion had rendered her blind, and her once vibrant eyes were now faded, only a mere ghost of what they once were. The elders believed the gods had punished them for being so greedy, and eased back on the stress they placed on Syx between festivals.
However, an astonishing thing happened on her 15th birthday. She found herself able to trace the faint outline of a person's Aura, just enough to know where they were standing. Using this, she found herself able to navigate crowded areas of the village almost effortlessly despite her disability. Keeping this revelation a secret from the elders, she silently trained herself on mastering her own Aura, hoping that by doing so she could somehow restore her eyesight.
By the time a group of Huntsmen entered the village on a mission to clear a herd of Grimm terrorizing the area, she had managed to see a person's Aura in its entirety, and could even make out the tell-tale signs of basic emotions within their shapes. The Huntsmen, their leader having spoken at length with Syx about the concept of researching Aura and what all it may do, offered to take her with them on their return trip to Vale and put in a recommendation for her to join Beacon Academy, which had been slated to reopen later the next month,
At first, the elders refused. However, after a calm discussion with their Oracle they finally relented and allowed her to leave the village she had grown up in. Promising to return when her studies were complete.
Now in a new place, with new relation waiting at every turn, Syx finds herself enjoying more and more of the world outside of her tiny village. In time, she'll be forced to answer the question she has dreaded for so long:
Return to the village as the Oracle, or stay and travel as a Huntress?

Semblance
Void Creation
Grants Syx the ability to summon any non-organic object she can think of for a set time based on her Skill grade. The physical damage of weapons and spells runs off her Skill grade, but the speed is dependent on her DEX. Ranged attacks still rely on her ACC to hit. The objects created can be manipulated by her will, and stay for an average of 10 minutes per 2 Skill Grade levels, or 5 minutes per Skill Grade level.
Objects created sap a small portion of her Aura when created based on size and complexity. This ability has boosted effects while Syx is under the effects of an Aura Vent or an Aura Nova, but with drawbacks of reduced CON, reduced ACC, and reduced WIS for the time these two states are present. [Note that the reductions do not apply unless a Vent or Nova has occurred within the last 15 posts in a thread.]
Side effects of overuse include: Minor paralysis, headache, muscle pain, fatigue, nausea, dizziness, narcolepsy, and in rare cases: difficulty breathing.

Weapon
Syx's weapons vary greatly depending on the situation she is in, and as such she will rarely display the same weapon twice. The only such weapon that has a recurring presence is the blade Syx'Ara, from which she named herself.
Syx'ara is a 3-foot long katana with an ornate handle that Syx states is supposed to be silver. The blade is contoured to allow maximum grip and allows the wielder the ability to pull off nearly impossible swordplay tricks with ease. As it is not a permanent weapon, Syx'Ara is only revealed in high-pressure fights, and as such is rarely seen.
