Beacon was open again and Daisy would be standing by the window and watching over the city as the airship slowly passed by. The ship was full of kids and Daisy was getting tired of standing around doing nothing. She wanted nothing more then to land so she could get off and stretch a bit before getting ready for her first day of school. "I wonder who ill get stuck with for a team..."

Have I crossed the line? | A few feet away from Daisy sat a lone girl, a white cloth wrapped around her eyes as her right hand rested on the handle of a leather sack, made from the skin of one of the cows they had grown back in the village she was from.
She was, evidently, blind. In fact, as she tilted her head up she reasoned she was probably the only student in the entirety of Beacon Academy who couldn't see. Well... technically the whole not being able to see bit was a bit of a lie.
She could see, technically. Just not in the same way everyone else could. She was blind yes, but she was blessed with the ability to see a person's Aura as though it were a normal part of the visible spectrum. She saw all kinds of things.
A man with an orange aura, unsure of himself.
A girl with light blue aura, humming to herself as she polished a rifle.
And then closest to her, a girl with a more violet tone to her Aura, like Syx herself, who was beginning to feel a bit cramped.
That's not to mean she could read minds, she couldn't in the slightest. Rather she could sense how a person was feeling through their Aura. A person's soul was truly a wonderful thing, to allow her such a rare and possibly powerful gift. She had been hailed as a messenger of the gods back in her village, but she had left all of that.
All of that familiarity was nowhere to be found in the place she found herself in now. Her hand tightened on the leather sack, which contained what meager possessions she had possessed back at the village. She listened to conversations and to the people walking around. A couple of students had already come to talk to her, a fact for which she was very grateful for, and had said so to the students who had talked to her.
It seemed that everyone on the airship at this moment was a first year student. Of course, that did coincide with what Cain had told her. Cain was the leader of the group of Huntsmen that had come to her village to eradicate a group of pesky Grimm that had been attacking nearby towns. She had managed to come with them to study at Beacon, but at the same time...
Syx groaned and laid down on her side. The ride was fine so long as she couldn't see out the windows. Otherwise she started to feel as if she would throw up. Digging in her mind for the right word, Syx nodded to herself.
Right. Motion sickness. That's the phrase. She thought to herself as she too steadily began to wish the ride would come to a steady close.
Of course, she also hoped that they didn't hit a batch of turbulent wind. Then she might really throw up.

Daisy would look over at the white haired girl as she layed down a puzzled look on her face."What are you doing...."Daisy would say in a hostile tone as she looked down at the white haired girl. "You know someone is going to step on you right? actually go ahead and lay there maybe someone will step on you less idiots to deal with at school.

Before the blind girl could even think of a reply to Daisy's unprovoked comment, Luma suddenly showed up behind Daisy and clung onto her shoulders in a too-close-for-comfort hug. "Y'know, you two shouldn't start making enemies until after we're put into teams." she said, not at all letting up on her uncomfortable clinging to the aggressive girl "We're all students here, we should like eachother by default until proven we should feel otherwise!" she said in a commanding, yet at the same time jovial tone.

Have I crossed the line? | Syx raised her head off the ground to look at the shape that had addressed her. Ah. It was the girl with the aura color similar to Syx's own. While that was somewhat of a comforting thought, given that she had often gotten along well with people of complementing or similar aura colors to her own, the tone in which the question was asked was less than kind.
Not that Syx hadn't dealt with unkind people before. It was a bit of a shame that people could be so mean and cruel to one another, and Syx opened her mouth to give an answer to the girl before another figure danced across her sensory. A vibrant orange, energetic in the nature of the swirls. This girl was happy, but with no reason.
For once Syx found herself grateful for the gift that was other people as the new girl pulled the first one into a hug. Syx decided to call them Purple and Orange until she knew their real names. Of course, the names were given entirely based on the color of their aura, although every so often Syx noticed a person's aura change in color.
It made her think that maybe her own color wasn't the vibrant amethyst it had once been, but she hadn't taken a good look at her own color in a long while, so she couldn't be sure. Lifting herself slightly off of the floor, Syx braced her arms behind her, hoping to stave off her motion sickness long enough to be able to hold a decent conversation. Of course, this dominantly depended on how skilled the pilot was, and Syx hadn't the faintest idea of who that was.
For all she knew the airship could've been piloted by a bear.
Opting to come back to that topic at a later date, Syx refocused on the two girls in front of her. Opening her mouth, she spoke softly and politely, her voice trained into a calming tone from years of training.
"She does sort of have a point..." Syx started, opting to try and diffuse the situation before anything untoward happened. "But at the same time the question still deserves an honest answer, no matter how it was worded."
Of course, her words could have been easily stopped by having something thrown at her. Which wouldn't be very nice because she was blind, but at the same time wouldn't be too terribly surprising considering the angry shades in Purple's aura. |

rage filled the pink haired girl as she was grabbed with a quick turn she would attempt to turn and throw a punch at luma's dumb face."Shut the fuck up you stupid bitch!"miss or hit the girl would growl in anger and wait for the girl to do something before taking further action but right now it was looking like daisy was thinking about throwing her out a window.

Luma just took the punch, get knocked back a few inches, but looking pretty unfazed, besides a very threatening glare on her face.... "Ooooh, I'm so sorry, I thought I just said that it was reeeaaally bad idea to be makin' enemies on the first day." she said menacingly before just... Gently pushing Daisy with just enough force to knock her down and into Syx "Now kiss and make up, ya dumbo!" she added, decidedly less menacing to say the least...

Have I crossed the line? | Time momentarily slowed for Syx. There she was, trying to not throw up on the airship. Purple had made a comment, and then Orange showed up. A few lines were exchanged and the next thing Syx knows Purple punches Orange, and then the latter pushes Purple off balance and sends her right onto Syx.
The weight of another human being falling on top of oneself is not something Syx was used to in the very slightest. In fact it had never happened to her. It was usually she who tripped on people, not the other way around. So such a situation was enough to shock the poor girl into stuttering.
Sadly for her, she wasn't even in a position to run away.
"W-Wha-" Syx started, her breath catching in her throat. The chance that Daisy had managed to catch herself was fairly low, but regardless Syx would flush deeply with the physical contact and proximity. Should Daisy have not managed to catch herself. Well. That would end in an end more comedic setup. The impact would've caused Syx to actually squeak before sort of going quiet and figeting in a slight attempt to get out from under the other girl. Unfortunately for her she wasn't strong enough to do such a thing, and didn't wish to use her semblance to lift someone else off of her.
As as result Syx just ended up sort of lying there underneath Daisy. Silently wishing she had opted to lie down somewhere else, but reasoning with herself that she couldn't possibly have known that this was happened. Such was the way in which these things tended to happen.
Although it didn't help that Syx was wearing a fairly thin pair of clothes she had taken with her from the village. Not only that, but as she had grown up in a temple full of men, it was fairly obvious what she wasn't wearing. |

Daisy would land on top of the girl at the squeak that the small girl made Daisy would turn a bright red before rolling off quickly "G-go fuck your self im not kissing her!"Daisy would scream at the mentally retarded girl. She was not going to admit that the blind girl was rather cute and well she wouldn't mind kissing her but not like this not because this bitch wanted it to happen.

Have I crossed the line? | Syx was increasingly beginning to wonder why and how she managed to get herself stuck into this growing fiasco in the first place. She wanted to say something, but felt as if she would be overlooked as she had been on the way here. In fact, the only reason she managed to find her way to the airship dock in the first place was because someone had asked her where she was headed and if she needed help getting there.
It did seem as though not everyone on the outside was as selfish as Elder Sri'ar had described it, although Syx had seen so little of the rest of the world, so she couldn't be quite certain of that statement quite yet. However, observing the two girls in front of her, Syx reasoned that the Elder's words may have been based on misguided experiences or information.
She certainly hoped so.
Slowly lifting herself up on her elbows before leaning forward into a sitting position, she took a deep breath to steady herself before finally standing back up. While she still wasn't quite comfortable with the thought of being miles up in the air, it did help quite a bit that she was blind. At least that way she couldn't see through the windows.
After standing, she turned her would-be gaze towards the two before opening her mouth and speaking in her usual calm tone. "Metaphor or not, I do believe it should be up to my own decision as well whether or not we "Kiss and make up," as you put it," she said, the words sounding a bit slow and calculated, as if she had to think of what exactly she was trying to say and had to find the right word for it as well before she spoke. Which actually was fairly correct. She had found the common language of the people outside of her village to be a bit more simple than the language spoken by her own people, but while she had learned quickly on the journey into the City, she still couldn't speak the language fluently enough to pass for one of the those around her.
And now that she thought about it, it was a bit surprising that none of them had just yet commented on how she was blind. Or maybe they thought she just covered her eyes with a cloth for some other reason? Syx didn't quite know, and wondered if it had been a fashion trend of some sort that she had just barely missed. |

Daisy would shoot a glare at both the girls for a couple moments before letting out a small growl. "You know what screw it."With a smug smile she would lean over to the blind girl and peck her on the lips quickly. "Your right I wanted to kiss her fucking happy."After speaking she would send a death glare at the walking mental issue that said say anything snarky and ill kill you and she meant it there was a airlock that would be perfect for throwing people out of.

"About damn fucking time already..."
The call came from a minor distance; not quite far from where the others were all gathered, yet not too close for comfort all the same. Soon after the remark echoed across the proximity of the general airship, its source would breathe a low, vaguely exasperated sigh before she lowered the book that had locked her attention just moments prior, shutting it tight with a gentle, yet noticeable thud before leaning down a tad. Reaching before her, she swiftly grasped hold of a duffle bag that had been stationed westbound by her foot, reeling it up and opening it in a single, fluid motion. With an aura of neutral nonchalance, she merely dropped her book within, adding to its contents before reversing the movement that she had just done in order to seal the containment back up. With that, she slung the pack over her shoulder, crossing her legs rather leisurely as she leaned back into the corner seat that she had taken care to occupy long before the airship ride had begun.
Following this, she tilted her head in a mildly defeated and tired way, glaring at the trio afar from the corner of her eye. "Took enough damn time for you to admit that you actually wanted to kiss the girl, honestly. ...Albeit, it's a bit skeptical, considering you literally just met her less than ten minutes ago, but whatever. It's your life, after all. Do whatever you wanna do." Taking a deep breath, the ashen-haired crossbreed paused for just a moment's time before hooking her hand around and sliding another one of her belonging-enclosed packs by her side. All the while, she eyed the others with what could have been a degree of curiosity of gradual skepticism and annoyance- if not all three at once. "Just keep your bitching and stuff to a clear minimum, though, alright...? You guys obviously aren't the only people on this airship. I personally don't give a shit what you guys do so long as you don't fuck things up with some excessive PDA or throw someone into a wall, but seriously. At least keep your bitch streak down until we get to the campus for the sake of everyone else here."
Just a little while more, and she would close her eyes, leaning further into the walls bordering her back. Peacefully and seemingly absentmindedly, her Faunus auds twitched lightly as she reached both of her hands up, adjusting the earbuds within her humanoid ones before taking her mp3 player within a hand and scrolling with a blind memorization of the songs and whatnot stored within its tiny little database. Once the desired song and playlist was selected, she breathed inwards yet again, though held the taken air within her lungs for just a while longer before calmly placing the device back within her pocket.
Afterwards, she finally released the kept breath in a slow, gentle exhale. Seemingly looking as if she were silently judging the trio, she peered over at them again from the edge of her gaze with what seemed to be a faint glare- although whether or not she gave her attention to them with true, brewing dislike or was just looking at them with her normal expression was somewhat debatable.
"...On a completely different thought, though... I'd give it maybe a week or two before they start actually dating. Judging from miss Alpha Bitch's display thus far and that slightly coy grin on her face, I get the feeling that she'd end up being the top. But, I dunno. The other girl may have something up her sleeves, too. Hell, for all we know, they may end up having co-dominance. Fun."

Luma just stared vacantly with a guilty smile at the newcomer to the conversation "Well, honestly, I was just joking, I didn't expect her to actually do it, even if it was super obvious she wanted to, but hey, if she wants to actually do it, who am I to question it? Some people just hold faith in the tired as all get-out idea of love at first sight, they might be super dumb but it's not anybody's place to judge anybody unless they're preteen girls who like badly written Rom-Com books, then judge them all ya li-Oh my gosh, your hair is so pretty! Is it just naturally like that or do you just buy way too much hair-care products?" She started to ramble before getting distracted by Aeronwen's hair.... So far, if she wasn't on a ship to a prestigious as all hell Huntsman academy, this would be a pretty average day for her....

Have I crossed the line? | Syx paused for a moment, blinking a few times as she attempted to wrap her head around what had just happened. Her first thought was to back up, retrace her steps, and figure out exactly how she ended up in the place she was in, but she figured it wouldn't do much more than raise more questions. Her second thought was why Purple had wanted to kiss her in the first place. It's not like Purple had actually felt that way about her that quickly, correct?
Although, Syx couldn't be too sure. The term "Love at first sight" wasn't exactly one that could be applied to her, and seeing as how she hadn't even experienced romance herself it was essentially a foreign concept to her. She had attended romantic gatherings, yes. She was almost always at the weddings in her village to oversee and bless the newlywed couple, but she had never experienced that sort of emotion herself.
She was somewhat snapped back to reality by the entrance of the third individual, another female, judging by the voice and the shape of the figure that had focused in on Syx's sense. This one was white, one of the brightest shades Syx had seen before, and certainly one of the most uncommon. Syx had seen plenty of greens, blues, red, and so forth, but black and white were the two most uncommon in her experience. Although she did have to remind herself that she wasn't in her tiny village anymore, so those two colors may be more common than she had first thought.
Nevertheless, a white aura oftentimes signified honor depending on the type of person it belonged to. Although Syx couldn't imagine a white aura being gifted to a person who was of a dishonorable nature. Turning her head and leaning her body so she could get a better view, she carefully inspected the shades and swirls of White's aura, picking out as many emotions as she possibly could in the short span of time she allowed herself.
After all, it was unkind to stare at people for too long.
Unfortunately for Syx, her focus was rather rudely shattered with Luma's sudden change of topic, and the quiet girl was a bit startled at the outburst that Orange had chosen. While she didn't understand the words completely in the context they were used, Syx decided that were of a similar fashion to some of the outbursts used by the younger children back in the village, which weren't harmless at all, but rather only slightly offending to those who were quite strict about speech.
Thankfully, the Ori'rie of the village hadn't ever been that strict. Yes, they had been old and had taught her in the same ways they had, but they had always been kind people, and had respected her youth above all else. |
